The GSMA and the Cherie Blair Foundation for Women, a charity that supports women entrepreneurs published the “Women and Mobile: A Global Opportunity” report during the Mobile World Congress. It’s the first detailed global study of its kind, attempting to understand the nature of women mobile subscribers in low and middle-income countries such as Kenya and India.

After HTC, China’s ZTE is jumping on Qualcomm (NSDQ: QCOM)’s Brew bandwagon with its own all-touchscreen phone. It’s called Bingo and it looks kinda nice-ish, with features including a 3.2-inch touchscreen, 7.2Mbps HSDPA connectivity, 5-megapixel camera along with a front-facing VGA camera and GPS.

The HTC HD2 has longed held the totem pole as being one serious phone that's packing plenty of goodies under its hood. Although the Nexus One plays to a lot of the HD2's specs, it's still sorely lacking some of the visual cues that make the HD2 a monster looking handset.
One of ZTE’s Android smartphones presented at MWC 2010 is the ZTE Smooth – which, like the Alcatel OT-980, has a design that reminds me of the Palm Pre.

Windows Phone what? Dell Mini who? Forget all that fancy nonsense, this is a proper mobile device. Running Windows Mobile 6.1, the AIS ultra-rugged PDA comes with a 3.7-inch QVGA (that's a whopping 240 x 320 resolution, folks!) screen, a Marvell chip that might have been around when the wheel was invented, and the surprisingly robust WiFi, Bluetooth, GPS and 3G connectivity combo.
