According to its recently-exposed release schedule, Japanese carrier SoftBank will introduce in the spring of 2012 the Aquos Phone 104SH, a smartphone made by Sharp which runs the soon-to-debut Android Ice Cream Sandwich (Android 4.0?) platform.

Japan has been lucky enough to receive several interesting handsets over the years from their own manufacturers, such as Sharp and Fujitsu, and the AQUOS PHONE 102SH from Sharp is no different.

Sharp has unveiled a new Aquos smartphone, the SH8298U, which will be initially offered to customers at Japanese carrier SoftBank. The device is focused on 3D capabilities, built around a 4.2-inch glasses-free display with qHD resolution. Users can also capture 3D video and stills from a dual-camera configuration with two eight-megapixel sensors.

The Yahoo search engine is apparently Japan’s biggest website, and Japan’s third largest carrier, SoftBank, is Yahoo Japan’s largest shareholder, which is why it is not surprising to find out that SoftBank subscribers will be able to get their hands on a “Yahoo Phone” some time in the next month.

Wow, it seems like every single electronics manufacturer has jumped on board the Android tablet bandwagon, and Sharp is no exception to that trend. The company introduced the first two members of its Galapagos lineup way back last year, and today, a third device has officially been added to the family.

The upcoming Sharp FX Plus phone is powered by a 600MHz single-core processor, 512MB of RAM, a microSD card slot (up to 32GB), and runs Android 2.2 OS. In term of messaging feature, Sharp FX Plus smartphone packs a sliding 4-row QWERTY keyboard paired with a 3.2-inch HVGA touchscreen display.

We’ve just received a photo of an unannounced and previously unseen Sharp Android smartphone, and we have reasons to believe this may be a new Sidekick handset for T-Mobile USA. Yes, an Android-based Sidekick, just like the Sidekick 4G (which, of course, isn’t made by Sharp, but by Samsung).
