Verizon Motorola Droid RAZR official image leaks via teaser site

18.10.2011 09:34
Tomorrow is a big day in the Android world (it’s tomorrow only if you’re in the US, though). Two big events are slated to happen ten hours apart. Motorola will lead the way as it launches the next Droid device, which will be called Droid RAZR or Droid HD. Then, in the evening, Google and Samsung will hold an event in Hong Kong in which Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich and the next Nexus phone are expected to be formally introduced.

Motorola has prepped a teaser site for its upcoming event, and that would’ve been news in itself. But it looks like the company forgot a link to a certain image in the site’s source code. A link which was then promptly found by Android fanatics digging through such things. A link that lead one to the following picture (which has now been taken down by Motorola):

Yes, ladies and gentlemen, that’s it. The first official image of the Motorola Droid RAZR, and this pic pretty much confirms everything we’ve heard so far about this device’s looks. First off, it will be razor thin (yeah, again). You can imagine how thin most of the body is by comparing its apparent thinness with the bulge at the top of the back side, where the camera and the speaker are located. We can also see that kevlar back cover which does look unique indeed, as well as the fact that the camera will have 1080p HD video recording, and the RAZR will come with 4G LTE support.

Overall, this is one sleek-looking piece of kit. Other specs which have been rumored in the past include a dual-core 1.2 GHz processor, 1 GB of RAM, and a 4.3-inch touchscreen. The Droid RAZR will also probably be the thinnest 4G LTE device ever.
